Concrete decks, paver patios, and the bonded metal hardware around a pool can all sit at slightly different electrical potentials. When someone steps from one surface to another — or touches a ladder while standing on wet concrete — that difference can become a shock they can feel. The CMI EB3100 bonding grid solves that problem by tying every conductive surface around the pool to a single reference potential, so there is nothing for current to travel across.

Engineered for NEC® 680.26(C) compliance

Electrical inspectors require equipotential bonding on every new pool install. The EB3100 is pre-fabricated from #8 solid copper with exothermic (thermite) welds at every 12-inch intersection — the same joining method specified for commercial grounding systems. The grid rolls out flat, stays flat, and buries cleanly under the paved surface 3 feet out from the inner edge of the pool, exactly as the code calls for.

Designed for one-person installation

Because the grid arrives welded and ready, there is no field cutting, field welding, or tying hundreds of copper crossings by hand. Roll it out, stake it down, land the bond wires at the clamp, and you are ready for inspection. Direct burial rated, so it goes in before the deck pour with no conduit or protective sleeving required.
